I am not a Johns Hopkins student. Can I attend? 

Yes, all MSE Symposium events are open to the public. 

Are events free to attend? 

Yes, all MSE Symposium events are free. There is no option to purchase tickets. 

Why aren't you in Shriver Hall this year? 

Shriver Hall will be closed to all events during this semester due to planned renovations. We will be hosting our speakers at several venues on the Homewood campus. 

Which events are ticketed? When will the link to the ticket raffles open?

Women's March
This event is not ticketed. Admission is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

This event is not ticketed. Admission is on a first-come, first-serve basis. 

John Kasich
This event is ticketed via a raffle. One person per entry. The link to enter the raffle will open at 12:00PM on Sunday, October 29, 2017 and end at 12:00PM on Tuesday, October 31, 2017. Attendees will be generated at random and notified. The link will be available on this website. 

Hasan Minhaj
This event is ticketed via a raffle.  One person per entry. The link to enter the raffle will open at 12:00PM on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 and end at 12:00PM on Friday, November 17, 2017. Attendees will be generated at random and notified. The link will be available on this website.

Will there be overflow rooms? Will the events be streamed online? 

For certain speakers there will be overflow rooms with private streaming. The locations of these rooms will be announced at a later date. Unfortunately, the events will NOT be streamed online.
